Vértice Books Distributor, created to distributed legal books, founded at the end of 2004, by Carlos Henrique de Carvalho Filho, was part of an enterprise group belonging to Editora Revista dos Tribunais – RT, the majority shareholder. Gradually it directed its activities to supply libraries (public and private universities, authorities, state companies, publishing companies, and law practices in the entire country).
In January 2007 it also started to distribute publications in other knowledge areas.
On May 2010 the holding was broken down and changed its premises to a new headquarter in August of the same year.
Acquisition of the companies Empório do Livro and Cia. dos Livros
Upon acquiring Empório do Livro, Vértice Books also start to act in the book distribution for resellers. This combination resulted in the creation of the company Empório Vértice Distribuidora de Livros Ltda.
On January 2012, Empório Vértice acquired Cia. dos Livros, responsible for the on-line sales, and they started to operate in an integrated manner, creating a new and stronger company: BOOKPartners – the industry chain involves from authors, small and medium publishing companies to major content generators, in addition to distribution and logistics management companies.
Determined to be a major player in intelligent solutions for the book industry, BOOKPartners opened in 2012 its new 8,000-m2 headquarters, at a junction of a freeway and a road ring, 20 km from São Paulo.
